I ran home, heart pounding. Every step felt heavy, shadows stretching unnaturally behind me. I locked the door and sank to the floor. Tried to convince myself it was over. ........ But it wasn’t over. I started digging online. Forums, dark corners of the web. Patterns emerged. Other people had seen it too, but each experience was slightly different.
