2. Service Description

TTS.ai provides AI-powered voice and audio tools including text-to-speech generation, speech transcription, voice cloning, audio enhancement, stem separation, and other audio processing capabilities. The Service operates on a character-based billing system. Characters are consumed when you use paid features. Some tools (audio converter, key/BPM finder, voice recorder) are free and do not require characters.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and maintain the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account. API keys are tied to your account and must not be shared publicly. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

4. Characters and Billing

Characters are the currency used to access paid features on TTS.ai.

• Characters are non-transferable between accounts
• Purchased characters never expire
• Subscription characters are added monthly on your billing date
• Characters are deducted at the time of use based on the operation type and model tier
• Failed operations do not consume characters
• We reserve the right to adjust character pricing with 30 days notice

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Generate content that impersonates real individuals without their consent
• Create deepfake audio for fraud, deception, or harassment
• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or violates the rights of others
• Violate any intellectual property rights of third parties
• Circumvent rate limits or access controls
• Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. Voice Cloning Ethics

Voice cloning features require that you have the right or consent to clone any voice. You must only clone voices of individuals who have given explicit permission, or use publicly available voice samples where permitted. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to clone any voice. We may suspend accounts that violate this policy.

7. Ownership and License to Use Your Content

You keep ownership of the content you upload. You also own the audio, transcriptions, videos and other output you generate through the Service, on every plan, including the free tier and use without an account; TTS.ai claims no ownership of it. What you may do with that output depends on your plan:

(a) Free tier, including use without an account: personal, non-commercial use only. Non-commercial use excludes monetized videos or channels, advertising, products or apps offered for sale, client work, and any use for a business.

(b) Paid plans, meaning an active subscription or purchased characters: personal and commercial use, with no royalties and no attribution to TTS.ai. This license is permanent for output generated while your paid plan was active and continues after you cancel.

(c) When you upgrade to a paid plan, the commercial license in (b) also covers output you generated earlier on the free tier, so you do not need to generate it again.

(d) Output you generated on the free tier before September 14, 2026 with a commercially licensed voice or model may continue to be used commercially, without upgrading, because the Terms in force when you generated it placed no restriction on commercial use.

(e) Some models and voices are released by their authors for non-commercial use only. They are marked 'Personal and non-commercial use only' in the voice and model pickers and listed in section 7A. Output from them is for personal, non-commercial use only on every plan, including paid plans and output covered by (c) or (d), because their licenses never allowed commercial use.

You are responsible for having the rights to any audio you upload and any voice you clone (see section 6). You grant TTS.ai a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service. Generated files are kept for the download period shown for your plan and are then deleted.

7A. Models and Voices With License Restrictions

The authors of the following models and voices allow non-commercial use only. Output generated with them may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes only, on every plan, and neither a paid plan nor an upgrade changes that. Each one is marked 'Personal and non-commercial use only' in the picker, and the voices and models API returns commercial_use: false for it.

Output from StyleTTS 2 must be disclosed to listeners as synthesized unless you have permission to use the voice. Output from IndexTTS-2 may not be used to train or improve other AI models. This list changes as models and voices are added or removed; the list in force when you generated the output applies.

8. API Usage

API access is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. API keys must be kept secure and not embedded in client-side code or shared publicly. We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are misused. API responses are provided \

9. Subscriptions and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically on the billing date. You may cancel at any time from your account page. Upon cancellation, you retain access to your plan features until the end of the current billing period. Remaining characters are preserved and can be used indefinitely. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all subscription plans.

In no event shall TTS.ai be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on the website. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
