Welcome to the History of Malaysian Education. Malaysian education has gone through a long journey. It started with traditional religious learning systems such as pondok schools. During the colonial period, different types of schools were introduced and the education system began to expand. After independence, many reforms were made to improve the system and promote unity. Today, education in Malaysia is guided by the National Education Philosophy, which focuses on developing balanced and respo
