It was the first day of June and the sun had set.  The toil of the day was over.  I had my studio thoroughly lighted and In the cleanest and best condition I could make It.  I had provided pencils, paper, pens and ink, and was nervously waiting for my silken bearded friend.  I felt a keen sense of uneasiness, not knowing the full nature of his mission or what all it might embrace.  I knelt and most solemnly prayed that the Almighty Father might be my helpe
