You learn that, when you're the “easy target.” It starts small. Whispering. Laughs that stop when you look up. People glancing at your clothes like you shouldn’t even be there. Then it grows. “Did you see what she’s wearing today?” “Does she even own a mirror?” I heard everything. I just acted like I didn’t. Lunch was always the worst.
