This creature… lives right next to underwater volcanoes. In heat that would kill almost anything else. It’s called the Pompeii worm. Found on deep-sea hydrothermal vents… where superheated water blasts out of the Earth. Its tail sits in extreme heat. While its head stays in cooler water. A perfect balance. Too hot in one place. Too cold in another. And it survives right in between. But here’s the strangest part. Its body is covered in bacteria. A thick, fuzzy layer. These bacteria
