300 people survive a shipwreck. That should have been the miracle. but It wasn’t. Weeks later, over 100 of them were dead. Not from hunger. Not from thirst. but From murder. This happened in 1629. A Dutch ship owned by the Dutch East India Company crashed near what is now Australia, on a chain of empty islands called Houtman Abrolhos. The ship was destroyed. Nearly 300 survivors reached shore.
