The Fruit Salad Example Let’s look at a real-life example. Imagine you are making a fruit salad. You have four fruits to choose from, but you can only pick two. How many different salads can you make? In this case, an Apple and a Banana salad is the exact same thing as a Banana and an Apple salad.
