Because he or she is cut off from so much. The blind person is literally in the dark. We all get a glimpse of what this means when a sudden blackout occurs. Some years ago such a blackout occurred in New York. It happened right in the middle of evening rush hour. Imagine the panic and chaos it caused. The whole of downtown Ma
