if you want a good example of something like this done right. look at hollow knight. the game placed a run changing decision with saving zote with achievements attached to it in the early game. so that way players who wanted to get an achievement for a zote path they never chose dont have to drudge through hours of gameplay just to get it. that's basic quality of life.
