Persuading others Increasingly, businesses are more connected and less hierarchical, and developing persuasion skills can be important. Persuasion is not about manipulation or getting your way, as many people may think; it is not necessarily about tricking anyone or being inauthentic. Rather, persuasion is about putting forward your best ideas and making sure they are communicated effectively.
