Look up tonight. That white circle in the sky. You have seen it your entire life. So have your parents. So have every human who ever lived. But what if it was never there? What if Earth had no moon? The answer will change how you see everything. Right now the moon is doing something most people never think about. It is stabilizing Earth. Our planet spins on a tilted axis of about 23 degrees.
