I don’t know when it started, and that’s the worst part because there’s no clear beginning—just the slow realization that pieces of my life were disappearing without me noticing until it was too late; four days ago everything was normal, I had just started a new job, Grace and I had moved into a better house, and our son Wyatt finally had his own room, life felt stable and good, like something I had worked for, and then things started going missing, small at first like a set of keys which I coul
