If every human on Earth suddenly sprinted in one direction, would the planet spin quicker? Not really. Earth weighs about 13 septillion pounds, so even nearly 8 billion runners would create a force far too small to notice. You’d need around 18 quintillion people, all running together, just to shift Earth’s rotation by a single second. And at that point, there wouldn’t even be enough room for everyone to stand, let alone actually run.
