David Cronenberg, whether he likes it or not, can be called a Satanist because he is against Logos. But there is a bigger picture. His ideas have spread to places like Japan. For example, one of Japan’s most controversial filmmakers is Takashi Miike. Miike says he strongly admires directors like David Lynch (who made Lost Highway), Paul Verhoeven (who made Basic Instinct), and, of course, David Cronenberg.
