In 1518, something terrifying happened in the city of Strasbourg. A woman named Frau Troffea walked into the street and began dancing… for no reason. Not celebrating. Not performing. Just dancing endlessly. Hours turned into a full day, and she still couldn’t stop. Soon, other people began to join her. Within a week, dozens of citizens were dancing uncontrollably. Then it became hundreds. Some people danced until their feet bled, until they collapsed from exhaustion, even dying from heart attack
