I was in my kitchen when I finally checked the full number. All my accounts. Every balance. It came out to a little over $47,000. I just looked at it for a second… then locked my phone. Honestly, that had been me for a while. Checking what I needed… and leaving the rest for later. Day to day, nothing felt completely off. My paycheck would come in. Rent would go out. Groceries, gas, normal stuff. From the outside, it all looked fine. But there were small signs I kept ignoring.
