Number 2, The Toy Box Killer. David Parker Ray, active in New Mexico in the 1990s, is believed to have tortured and murdered multiple victims using a soundproof trailer fitted with disturbing restraints and devices. He was never conclusively convicted of murder, but his crimes were documented enough to make him one of the most terrifying figures in true crime. The story sounds fake because the setup was so elaborate and cruel that it seems invented.
