Di you know that The original title of the album Kill ’Em All was supposed to be Metal Up Your Ass, with cover art showing a hand holding a dagger coming out of a toilet. The record label rejected it, and bassist Cliff Burton responded, “Just kill ’em all,” which ultimately gave the album its name. Ride the Lightning This was the first album where the band began experimenting with ballads, most notably on the track “Fade to Black,” which many thrash metal fans at the time took very badly.
