Reddit, this happened three years ago, and I still can’t believe it. At the time, I was twenty-two, broke, and working night shifts at a grocery store. I had exactly twelve dollars in my bank account… and rent was due in four days. I was tired. Tired of being stressed. Tired of counting coins for gas. Tired of pretending everything was fine. So one morning, after another awful shift, I did something stupid. I walked into the fanciest hotel in my city. I had no plan. I was wearing cheap sho
