Now, let's take a look at the Master folder. This folder has a few special features. Firstly, the drive is encrypted. Even if the hard drive were removed from the NAS, the data could not be read without the correct key. When the NAS starts up, the key is automatically read by the system. Resetting the NAS deletes the key. Secondly, only the Captain has full access to the folder. The Second Officer has read access to the root of the Master Folder, but he also has write access to the ‘Medical’
