Pāhonoa te oro

I showered, watched a little TV, laughed at a silly show. Life was normal. Calm. Ordinary. I went to bed, thinking about everything… except the photo. But the photo found me anyway. In my dream, I was standing on that street. Wet pavement reflected the dim streetlights perfectly… like the photo. Everything seemed normal… except one window. A faint red glow stared at me. Watching me. I woke up drenched in sweat. My heart was racing. “Just a dream,” I told myself.
