I woke up because my alarm didn’t sound—but my phone was already in my hand, playing the recording of my own breathing while I slept. I tried to delete it, but the file name kept changing every second, like it was updating in real time. Then I noticed something worse: the time on my phone was stuck at 3:33 AM, but outside my window, the sky kept flashing between night and morning like it couldn’t decide what to be. I got up to check the hallway. Every photo on the wall had been replaced with pic
