A man woke suddenly at 2:17 AM to the sound of slow knocking coming from inside his wardrobe, even though he lived alone and always kept it locked; frozen in bed, he stared as his phone lit up on the table with a message from an unknown number saying, “Don’t open it,” but the knocking grew louder, more desperate, until it turned into scratching from the inside, and before he could move, the wardrobe door creaked open on its own, revealing only darkness—his phone buzzed again, “You opened it,” an
