“Orders are to finish the sweep,” another replied.
“No survivors are to remain near the blast zones.”
Sarah’s heart stopped.
“No survivors?” she mouthed silently. Jessie clenched his jaw.
“…we secure the camps, block them off, and move on,” a third voice added. “Anyone left behind is a liability.”
Sarah felt cold all over.
