The final scene takes us to a high-security prison made entirely of plastic where Magneto is being held because he can’t manipulate the walls or the bars and he is visited by Professor Xavier for one last conversation between two old friends who have become bitter enemies. They play a game of chess while discussing the future of their species and Magneto warns Charles that the war is far from over because the humans will never stop fearing what they don’t understand and he promises to escape and
