My mom just fell for an AI scam, and it almost cost her everything. It started when she began seeing these AI videos of Jesus online. They looked extremely realistic — Jesus walking through crowds, talking directly to the camera, even “blessing” people. She was completely convinced they were real. Every day she would send me these videos and tell me they were miracles. But every time I tried explaining that they were AI-generated, she’d just say I was a non-believer who refused to see the truth.
