Our chosen voluntary organisation is UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, which works globally to protect children’s rights and improve their wellbeing. UNICEF was founded in 1946 after World War II to provide emergency food, healthcare and support to children affected by the war, and since then its mission has expanded to helping children in more than 190 countries. The core purpose of the organisation is to ensure that every child has access to basic needs such as education, healthcare,
