When the prophet Jeremiah was thrown into a pit and left to die, no one helped him.....not the leaders....not the people. But Ebed-Melech, an ethiopian foreigner, chose to act. He went to the king and risked his life to rescue him. Because of his courage, Jeremiah was saved. And later, God promised to protect Ebed-Melech for what he did. Maybe being known by God… matters more than being known by people.”
