Stimulus: The body becomes too hot Receptor: The hypothalamus detects an increase in body temperature Effector: Sweat glands create sweat which evaporates and cools the body Response: Body temperature goes back to normal Negative feedback: Once the temperature returns to normal, the hypothalamus stops signaling the effectors.
