Luca Giordano Giordano was the main Neapolitan artist of the late 1600s. Born 1634 in Naples, he was trained by Jusepe de Ribera, a Spanish artist famous for his realism. His artstyle was well-suited for large scale paintings, such as myths. Said style was formed through his knowledge of great 16th and 17th century artists, mainly that of other Neapolitan ones.
