In this video, I’m presenting one of my recent projects — VSAM Migrator. VSAM Migrator is a comprehensive solution designed to simplify and automate the migration of VSAM datasets into modern relational database systems. It generates CSV files and SQL DDL queries directly from EBCDIC-encoded VSAM files and their corresponding copybooks, ensuring data integrity while significantly reducing migration time and risk. So, what is VSAM? VSAM, or Virtual Storage Access Method, is a file storage syst
