Making the Polyjuice Potion wasn’t easy. Hermione had to sneak a book from the Restricted Section and even trick Lockhart to get permission. The trio then spent weeks stealing ingredientsand brewing it in secret. It was risky… and could’ve gone very wrong. But in the movie the potion is just there. No setup. No struggle. Which honestly makes no sense for second-year students.
