Silence filled the carriage, interrupted only by the steady rattle of wheels rolling on rails. Daniel pulled out his phone, but there was no signal. Being underground, this wasn’t surprising… yet it felt disconcerting. A few minutes passed. Suddenly, above the faint hum of the train, he caught it. A whisper. He raised his eyes. “Hey” he shouted, his voice echoing slightly. Nothing answered. The woman hadn’t moved. Daniel gulped, attempting to steady himself. “Did you just say something?”
