It’s not that I’m unwilling to be generous, but I learned a tough lesson from one of my old acquaintances. He wasn’t a close friend, but he borrowed about a thousand yuan from me. At the time, he was always kind and sociable, and we moved in the same social circle, even though we didn’t spend much time alone together. So, I trusted him and lent him the money. He said it was a small amount and that he’d pay me back quickly via another app, especially since he claimed it was urgent. So, I thought,
