The power went out at exactly 2:13 AM. Rohan checked his phone—no signal, no battery warning… just a black screen. From the hallway, he heard soft footsteps. Tap… tap… tap… “Mom?” he called. No answer. The footsteps stopped outside his door. Then came a whisper—right next to his ear: “I’m not your mom.” Rohan froze. Because he remembered… his mother was out of town.
