Goalkeeper. The goalkeeper is the only player allowed to handle the ball, and only within their own penalty area. Positioned closest to the goal, they focus on stopping shots, reacting quickly to close-range chances, and dealing with crosses into the box. They also organize the defense, constantly communicating to keep the back line in shape. In modern football, goalkeepers are expected to be comfortable with their feet, helping their team build attacks from the back and sometimes acting almost
