Darkness swallowed the underground chamber. For a moment Lina could see nothing. Then the blue flame of the Hunter’s lantern flared again, casting long, twisted shadows across the ancient walls. The masked figure stepped closer. Slow. Patient. Like it already knew Lina had nowhere to run. The guardian’s voice echoed from somewhere in the darkness. Low and tense. “Keeper… do not let him take the Book.” The Hunter stopped a few steps away from Lina. The cracked mask reflected the blue light of the
