If water suddenly bursts through your windows, locate the fuse box and shut off the electricity. That can keep you from being electrocuted. If you're on the ground floor, the force of the water may be too strong to push through, so move to the highest level in your home before the stairs disappear underwater. If the water keeps rising, it could touch the ceiling. If that happens, grab a hammer and break through the roof, then signal for help.
