if you want a good example of something like this done right. look at hollow knight. the game placed a run changing decision with saving zote with achievements attached to it in the early game. so that way players who wanted to get an achievement for saving zote or not they never chose dont have to drudge through hours of gameplay just to get it. that's basic quality of life.
