What if someone feels everything deeply — but cannot get a single word out about it? Psychology calls it alexithymia. Not numbness. Not coldness. A disconnect between the emotional experience and the language system that would express it. The feeling is fully present. The output channel is blocked. Engineering maps it as a fully functioning input system with a broken output channel. The data arrives. It is processed. It cannot be transmitted. The people around them read the silence as indifferen
