While the team prepares for battle we see Magneto on the island preparing Rogue for the final ritual because he is too weak to power the machine himself after the first attempt so he plans to transfer his own powers into her using her touch and then force her to activate the device which will inevitably kill her because her body won't be able to handle that much raw energy. Rogue is crying and begging him to stop but Magneto is blinded by his own trauma and his belief that he is the savior of th
