Many of the Romanov rulers, like Peter and Catherine the Great, were known for the reforms they introduced in Russia. Centuries before Boris Yeltsin introduced a moratorium on executions, a Romanov ruler banned the death penalty outright. Other Romanovs introduced changes, which in some ways
