**I Thought It Was Just Another Kid Playing Hide and Seek** I was 11, playing hide and seek at night in the woods behind our neighborhood. I hid behind a fallen tree, completely covered except for a small gap to see out. After the counting stopped, everything went quiet. A few minutes later, I saw what I thought was one of my friends with a flashlight. I stayed still as the light moved slowly, like it already knew where I was, and stopped right in front of me. I whispered, “You found me.”
