Cascada del basalto (Basalt Falls) We invite you to explore this trail along the upper stretch of the Agrio River. Along the way, you’ll discover four waterfalls with water as acidic as a lemon! The Agrio River stretches for 8 miles from its source at the Copahue Volcano to its mouth at Caviahue Lake. As one of the most iconic landscapes in the protected area, this terrain was sculpted by volcanic activity and glaciations over thousands of years. Here, the river has further shaped the land, ero
