When Revenge Hits Harder Than Expected. In 9th grade, I had a teacher who genuinely disliked me. She didn’t like athletes, and I played three sports, so I missed a lot of her class. She would double homework after away games, gave me lower grades than I deserved, and constantly compared me unfairly to other students. Even when I placed in academic competitions, she found ways to punish me, like refusing to accept a major extra-credit assignment on time, despite me being told I could turn it in
