I stepped back immediately. My heart was racing so fast it hurt. There was something behind that door. I knew it. And somehow… It knew I was there too. The breathing stopped. Silence. Complete silence. I stood there, not moving. Not even blinking. And then— The handle moved. Slowly. Like something was trying to open it from the inside. I stumbled backward. My phone almost slipped out of my hand. The door creaked open just a little. Enough for darkness to spill out into the hall
