I want to start with a number that defines our school: forty-seven percent. At Riverwatch Middle School, we serve one thousand three hundred fifty-nine students. Nearly six hundred thirty-four of them are identified as gifted learners. This isn’t just a statistic. It’s a mandate—for us to provide a specialized level of challenge. In my eighth-grade Spanish classroom, this reality is even more distinct. Forty-three percent of my students are gifted, and a staggering ninety-five percent are alr
