One sergeant described seeing a bird-like creature take off into the night sky, while boys in 1988 claimed a huge bird-like figure rose from the swamp in front of them. Locals have also reported 15–20-foot serpents, black panther-like animals, and other creatures not native to Massachusetts. Though unverified, the repeated reports make the Triangle a hotspot for cryptid enthusiasts.
