Big idea When data goes from one computer to another on a different network, it does not keep the same frame the whole way. It keeps the IP packet, but each network it crosses gives that packet a new frame for the next part of the trip. Analogy: a person taking several buses Imagine you want to travel from one town to another. You are the IP packet Each bus is like a frame The bus station worker is like a router You stay the same person during the whole journey. But you do not stay on the
